DID YOU KNOW? Prithviraj Sukumaran Was About to REJECT Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, But Salaar's Prashanth Neel Made Him Do It - Here's Why
After a seven-year hiatus from Hindi cinema, Prithviraj Sukumaran makes a comeback with Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, a film featuring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff. Initially hesitant, Prithviraj almost turned down the opportunity to play the film's antagonist. However, fate intervened, leading him to reconsider his decision, largely thanks to the persuasion of director Prashanth Neel, known for his groundbreaking work in Kannada cinema. In an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha, Prithviraj recounts how a conversation with Prashanth during the filming of Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire changed his mind. Despite facing scheduling conflicts, Prithviraj was swayed by Prashanth's belief in his potential contribution to Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. Reflecting on their discussion, Prithviraj acknowledges that without Prashanth's encouragement, he would have regretted passing on the opportunity.

Breaking his usual practice of focusing on one project at a time, Prithviraj adjusted his packed schedule to accommodate both "Bade Miyan Chote Miyan" and "Salaar," alongside other commitments like Karan Johar's "Sarzameen." Adapting to the demands of shooting two films simultaneously, especially with the industry norm in Malayalam cinema of completing one project before moving on to the next, presented its challenges. However, with flexibility from all parties involved, including director Ali Abbas Zafar, Prithviraj successfully managed to balance his commitments.

The challenges didn't end with scheduling; the physically demanding shoot for Ali's film took Prithviraj on a whirlwind journey from Manali to Scotland, involving multiple flights and long hours of travel. Despite the hectic itinerary, Prithviraj's dedication to his craft remained unwavering, showcasing his commitment to delivering quality performances. Currently, the actor is committed to filming his upcoming directorial venture, L2: Empuraan.
